May 20th Friday evening two staff from the school(one of which is a resident) returned to their cars in the school car park to find them vandalised. Wax crayon had been used to draw on the cars and paintwork had been scratched.
I’ve seen the damage to the residents car and the scratch runs from the passenger door, side panel and up on to the bonnet where it’s dented as well as covered in crayon.
The damage has been reported to the police who have inspected it and allegedly due to the age of a child the police cannot take any action.
There are no signs in the car park that say you park at your own risk. So who is responsible for that car park?
Very disappointing to hear of this vandalism in the village. Please take care where you park your car. If you need to contact the Police about any non-emergency incident call 0300 333 3000.
Note: following a polite and friendly email I’ve received from a resident I’d like to add what allegedly is the action of one child does not reflect the behaviour of all children who play in the village.
