Police officers in Telford are investigating three burglaries that occurred at the end of last week.
The burglaries occurred at addresses in Brookside, Horsehay and Ketley between Thursday 26 April and Saturday 28 April.
The first burglary police are investigating occurred at an address on Burtondale sometime between 3pm and 10pm on Thursday. It appears thieves entered the property through an insecure door and then stole a number of items from inside including a television, a Dreamax freeview box and a set of hair straighteners. The total value of the stolen items is thought to be more than £300.
The second burglary occurred at a property on Farm Lane in Horsehay on Friday 27 April. Sometime between 8.10am and 5pm it appears that thieves broke into the house by smashing a window at the rear and then reaching through the window to open it.
Once inside the property the thieves carried out a thorough search before stealing a number of items and making their escape. The stolen items include jewellery such as rings and necklaces with a total value of more than £2000.
The third burglary occurred sometime between 9.45am and 11.50am on Saturday at an address on Candleberry Meadow in Ketley. It appears thieves removed a bathroom window on the ground floor to enter the property and then stole several items of jewellery – including an 18 carat gold puzzle ring, several gold bangles and a gold wristwatch – from inside the house before making their escape.
All three burglaries occurred while the occupants of the properties were out and although police are keeping an open mind, they will be looking at the possibility that the same thieves were responsible for all three break-ins.
Anyone with information about any of these burglaries is asked to contact the police on 101 or 0300 333 3000. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather pass on information without getting directly involved yourself.
