On the 22nd of September the community will be gathering at the Oak Tree Centre for the Lightmoor Summit.
The day will feature workshops, planning, discussion. Your local parish councillors and local MP, David Wright will be attending. It’s a great opportunity to get together with other residents and help shape the next 12 months in the village and celebrate our community.
The event will also be the first Community Awards Ceremony. Nominations will be counted up till 12 pm on Friday 21st September.

Whilst this seems an excellent initiative, to promote it as being an opportunity to “meet your Borough Councillors” is somewhat disingenuous as neither of us were invited to attend, or even told that it was happening. As it is I will not in the Borough on the day and so will not be able to attend.
If you do have any questions or concerns to raise I would remind everyone that I hold a monthly Advice Surgery on the third Saturday of every month from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m. at Horsehay Village Hall. The next one is due on 20th October. I hope to see you there.
Apologies Clive, just working from the information supplied by staff at Cherry Tree House.
I’ll adjust the blog post to reflect this.
Thank you Ben. See you Tuesday.
